About
Moss Agate Massage Therapy is dedicated to providing care that is attentive and grounded in what your body actually needs. Each treatment is created in real time, based on your intake form and how you’re feeling that day.
Our Philosophy
In our experience, the body doesn’t respond well to force. Pushing through tension, chasing pain or applying the same approach to every person often does more to guard the body than help it.
Treatments are created with the intention of working with your body. This can look like
adjusting pressure and techniques as needed
taking a detailed health history to understand where tension and pain is coming from
paying attention to how tissues respond and adjusting as needed so your body can relax
We want all patients to feel safe and comfortable in our clinic to be able to relax and truly unwind. Our clinic space is curated to be quiet and grounded, a perfect reprieve from the stresses of everyday life.
Whether you’re tired, overwhelmed or just needing space to breathe, Moss Agate Massage Therapy is a safe place to land.
The Story Behind Moss Agate
Moss agate is a crystal that is known to have grounding and calming properties, that helps with stress and anxiety in addition to restoring vitality from burnout. It’s also associated with balance and cultivating slow and steady growth.
The crystal’s qualities reflect how treatment is approached here. We strive to create conditions where your body can settle and respond, with calm intention and without force or urgency.
Fun fact, there’s also a personal connection to our Owner. It’s the stone in Emily’s engagement ring, which adds a sentimental touch to our name, but also reinforces our intentions with our clinic.
Care at Moss Agate Massage Therapy is consistent, supportive, and rooted in trust.
Emily Tippins
Owner and Registered Massage Therapist
Emily is a Registered Massage Therapist providing thoughtful and responsive care for pain and tension.
Her approached is shaped by both clinical experience and a deep understanding of how the body responds to stress, injury, and chronic load. She has a particular interest in working with chronic pain conditions, where symptoms are often layered, long-standing and influenced by multiple systems in the body.
Massage therapy has also played a role in her own recovery and ability to reconnect with her body which informs the way she works with her clients.
She supports both acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on nervous system regulation and the role it plays in how the body processes pain and tension.
Her work is grounded in the belief that the body responds best when it feels safe. Rather than forcing change, she focuses on creating an environment and treatment approach that allows the body to settle, adapt and respond on it’s own timeline.
